Getting started

Welcome to Workrize

What Workrize is, the five roles, and what each role sees.

Last updated: 13 June 2026

Workrize is a recruitment platform that connects candidates, recruiters, line managers, client organizations, and administrators in one place. Clients define the positions they hire for, recruiters and line managers move applications through interview stages, and candidates apply and track their progress.

The five roles

Your role determines which workspace you sign in to and which items appear in your sidebar.

RoleWhat you can do
CandidateMaintain your profile and CV, apply to openings, and track your applications from a personal dashboard.
RecruiterWork from a recruitment dashboard with Vacancies, Applications, and Candidates views to source candidates and move applications forward.
Line managerEverything a recruiter sees, plus a Team view for tracking the recruiters you supervise.
ClientCreate and manage organizations, including Members, Branches, Positions, Vacancies, and Organization Settings.
AdministratorOversee the whole platform: Roles, Questions, Applications, Referrals, Candidates, Vacancies, Positions, Users, Line managers, and Activity.

Workrize also has internal staff accounts with a subset of administrator access, such as applications, referrals, and candidates.

Note: If a colleague sees a menu item that you don't, the difference is almost always role-based visibility, not a bug. Sidebar items are filtered by your role.

  • Candidates — building your profile, applying to openings, and tracking applications.
  • Recruiters — the recruiter dashboard, sourcing and filtering candidates, and managing the candidate process.
