Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions across all roles.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often, across all roles. If your question is not here, check the guides for your role from the documentation home, or ask your administrator.

How do I reset my password?

Select Forgot password? on your sign-in screen and enter the email address on your account. Workrize emails you a link to choose a new password; it works once and expires after 24 hours, and choosing a new password signs you out everywhere else. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then contact your administrator.

Why can't I see a menu item that my colleague sees?

Sidebar items are filtered by role. A line manager sees a Team item that recruiters do not; administrators see far more than both. If you believe your role is wrong, ask your administrator to check your account on the Users page.

How do I update my CV?

Open Profile in the sidebar and upload a new CV in the CV section. The new file replaces the old one for all future reviews. Update it before you apply, because applications are reviewed with the CV on file at review time.

What do the application statuses mean?

Applications move through phases: under review, interview, offer, and joined, with on-hold and closed as side exits. See Track your applications for the full table.

Why did my application stop moving?

Most stalls are waiting states, not rejections — feedback awaited after an interview, or a position temporarily on hold. You receive a notification when the status changes. If an application is closed, its status says so explicitly.

How do I invite a team member to my organization?

Open your organization, select Members, and invite the person with an organization role. They show as invited until they accept and sign in. Only organization admins can manage members.

Why isn't my vacancy visible to candidates?

Candidates only see jobs that are live. A draft job is not published yet, and a paused or closed job leaves the board. Check the job status on your vacancy first.

Where do notifications come from?

Workrize notifies you about changes relevant to you, such as application status updates, or — for recruiters and line managers — someone else referring a candidate whose lead you own. Open the bell at the bottom of the sidebar to read them. Unread items are marked with a badge on the bell.

What is the difference between a position, a vacancy, and a job?

A position is the reusable definition of a role. A vacancy is a concrete opening for that position. A job is the published listing candidates see. The glossary covers all Workrize terms.

Who do I contact for support?

Start with your administrator — they manage accounts, roles, and platform configuration. Candidates applying to a role can also reach out to the recruiter handling their application.
